What is “Jelly”?

It is an interesting ‘coin pocket-sized’ smartphone that has made its way on Kickstarter looking for crowd funding. The device is called Jelly.The interesting thing about the Smallest 4G Smartphone is that it supports Android 7.0 Nougat, dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) along with 4G connectivity. At the time of writing, it had already seen over $125,000 pledged for its $30,000 goal, with 34 days to go.The Jelly smartphone is manufactured by Shanghai firm Unihertz, and it is to be the “smallest 4G Android smartphone in the world.”

This Smartphone will be made available in Sky Blue, Pearl White, and Space Black color options.And it will be available in 1GB and 2GB RAM / Storage bundles.

Price of the Jelly Smartphone

The Jelly World’s Smallest Smartphone with 1GB RAM and 8GB Internal Storage is priced at $109 (roughly Rs. 6,900) and the Jelly Pro with 2GB RAM/16GB storage is priced at $125 (roughly Rs. 8,000). However on Kickstarter, the Jelly and Jelly Pro are priced at $59 (roughly Rs. 3,800) and $75 (roughly Rs. 4,800) respectively. The company is expected to ship the palm-sized Android handset sometime in August – and, it can be a cheap way to enjoy the latest.


The Jelly smartphone supports a 2.45-inch (240×432 pixels) TFT LCD display with 201ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor and is available in two variant RAM/ storage bundles. The storage can be further expandable via microSD card slot up to 32GB.

It has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front sensor. The both SIM-slots support 4G Connectivity on AT&T and T-Mobile networks in the US. The Jelly smartphone have a 950mAh battery that is rated to offer three days of battery and seven days on standby. Connectivity options include  Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth v4.0. Onboard sensors include G-Sensor, Gyroscope, and Compass and dimensions of the Jelly are at 92.3x43x13.3mm.
